October 5th Special Meeting: Budget Presentation

On October 5th City Manager Teri Kilgore presented the 2027-2028 budget book (available on the City’s website: 2027-2028 Biennial Budget | City of Kenmore Washington ).  She overviewed the duties and achievements of the City of Kenmore, and the upcoming needs.  She noted uncertainties in the housing, employment and consumer markets. The summary was high-level, and included areas where the City has been able to cut costs, as well as anticipations of upcoming expenditures.  Revenues are lower than expected, and the fund balance higher. 

There was no discussion by Council afterwards; during the next three October meetings, Council will hear detailed information on each section of the budget, followed by hearings and potential adoption in November.
